Good Relation with Govt.
The High Court maintained good relationship and coordination with the government throughout my tenure and I appreciate their response and support extended. I will be failing in my duty if I do not name some f them S/She A. P. Muhtusamy, former Chief Secretary, M.F. Farooqui, former Secretary to Public Department, Shantha Sheela Nair, former Home Secretary, P. Shankar, Chief Secretary and Naresh Gupta, Home Secretary and Mr. Pichandi, Secretary Public Department, for their fullest cooperation.
I take with me very pleasant memories of my association with you all and for having worked for considerable period in this Chartered High court and will cherish my memories. I value your good wishes and goodwill as precious assets and I seek the blessings of the Almighty for us all.
Measured Step
My habit of asking questions during the course of arguments were to understand the point in controversy, and if anybody felt hurt, please take it that it was unintentional and not to hurt. So also for not giving too much indulgence in adjournments. I may add that I was brought up like that. The advice of my father who died in 1975, but still lives in my heart, makes me remember at all times, that let my heart be not troubled by anybody given otherwise, I am always careful to have my steps measured.
I sincerely thank the Honourable Chief Justice of India and the Collegiums for giving me another opportunity to serve in yet another State. May God be with you. Thank you all very much once again for having made my stay at Chennai happy, comfortable and pleasant one. I am parting company with you with happiness and satisfaction. So accept my warm thanks when I bid you good bye. May the Almighty bring all favours on you for ever.

Double Privilege
I feel doubly privileged in welcoming Mr. Justice N.K.Jain, Chief Justice as Karnataka State Bar Council is in fact extending cordial welcome to former Chairman of the Bar Council of Rajasthan.
Interest in academic study
You were enrolled as on Advocate on 26-1-1968 at the age of 25 years 4 months and started practice in the High Court of Rajasthan at Jodhpur. As an advocate, despite busy practice, you were actively engaged in all the activities of Bar Association. You were Member of the Bar Council of Rajasthan from 1971 continuously for 19 years. You were Chairman of Bar Council of Rajasthan from during 1985-86 and were member of the Bar Council of India from 1987 to 20-7-1990 on which date you were elevated as Judge of the High Court of Rajasthan. As a member of Bar council of India you were also Member of the Bar council of India Trust and the Executive and General Council of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. You always evinced interest in academic study and were part-time lecturer in the Jodhpur University. Your acumen as a faculty member and academician was recognized by the Chief Justice of India inasmuch as even after your becoming the Judge of the High court of Rajasthan, you were nominated as the Member of the Academic council of National Law School of India University, Bangalore from 1993-96.
Bar Council member for 19 years
The very fact that you were actively involved with the Bar Association and were elected as Member of the Bar Council for almost 19 years itself speaks volumes about the leadership qualities and the team spirit you inspired in the fellow members. This past career has naturally given you the first hand experience and insight into the day to ay problems faced by the legal fraternity. It is fortunate that you have continued to retain the same concern and interest in the problems pertaining to the legal fraternity as you used to when you were an Advocate and Member of the Bar Council.
You were a sportsman of repute and held the position as champion player of Badminton in the State of Rajasthan for almost 13 years from 1955-68. You represented the Rajasthan State in the National as well as Inter State Badminton Championship.
United Bar- Welcomes Changes
On behalf of the legal fraternity in the State we promise a welcome change of environment inasmuch as the Bar in the State is strong, vibrant and responsible but at the same time has never been divided either on political line or in any other manner though several of the members of the Bar have actively participated in the political activities and have adorned with distinction highest offices and have become Chief Minister of the State. In the State of Karnataka, you will find a very responsible and co-operative legal fraternity in discharging their role in the judicial system.
