My Farewell Speech !

       

 

 Initially brother justice R.V. Raveendran and thereafter Brother Justice P.V.Vishwanatha Shetty, as Executive Chairman of High court Legal Services Committee, have taken keen interest in settlement of matters. Five Brihant Lok adalats were arranged, in two of which Honourable Sri. K.G.Balakrishanan Judge Supreme Court of India and Sri. Justice S.Rajendrababu, Former Chief Justice of India, attended. The then Hon’ble Chief Justice of India Sri. V.N.Khare inaugurated the Legal Services Clinic in the High Court premises which hears the problem of the weaker section of the society and the downtrodden on various matters and renders legal advises to them. Daily Lok Adalats sitting are being held in the High Court. It is a matter of great satisfaction that all concerned, in particular all brother Judges have rendered valuable service have given support and co-operation and work hard even after regular Court hours. I hope that all the concern in further will work in a team spirit and be able to do wonderful job in order to achieve the object of the Legal Service Authorities Act.

 

Karnataka Judicial Academy has grown into a big important institution in the State by the valuable services rendered by its Presidents Brother Justice P.Vishwanatha Shetty, thereafter brother Justice B. Padmraj, and now Brother Justice A.M. Farooq, other Governors (former and present), V. Jagannath, Director and other officers of the Karnataka Judicial Academy past and present. The computer hall and the Lecture Hall were inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Judge, and Supreme Court of India on 24.6.2002. Valuable services were rendered by them in conducting a large number of training programmes and arranging seminars and conferences. Staff has also been benefited by this training programme. All concerned deserve appreciation for the same. I am thankful to al of them. I am sure that the training courses, workshops and conferences held have enriched the knowledge of the participants and enabled them to discharge their duties more efficiently.  

 

Dr. H.R. Bhardwaj, Chairman of I.C.A.D.R. New Delhi, now Union Law minister was kind enough to agree to my proposal to start a regional centre of the I.C.A.D.R. at Bangalore. We were able to have the Regional Centre at Banglore with the assistance of Sri. Krishna Murthy, Treasurer, ICADR, Brother Justice Chandrashekaraiah and now Brother Justice N.Kumar as the Executive Chairmen of the Banglore Regional Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR), and other Members as also Sri. Sndaresh, assistant Secretary of the I.C.A.D.R. have co-operated and taken pains to ensure smooth functioning of the Regional Centre.
